Three x Gogglebox: Duck and Scroll, acted out

The brief
- Objective
- The goal was to raise awareness of Three’s sponsorship of Gogglebox and of the Duck and Scroll idea, looking at your phone to avoid an awkward scene. Comedy creator content was meant to make the sponsorship memorable to a young audience that does not watch the ad breaks.
- Audience
- Eighteen to thirty year olds in the UK who watch Gogglebox clips on social media more than the broadcast.
- Message
- When it gets awkward, duck and scroll, on Three.
What TapLab did
We used Harry, one of our comedy creators, to make content of himself pretending to Duck and Scroll when an awkward scene comes on, while sipping from a Three-branded mug.
The joke relies on a behaviour everyone recognises, which made the sponsorship message easy to carry. The content ran on TikTok and Instagram. We handled the influencer partnership.
