User-generated content (UGC) is video made by creators instead of a production crew, and it is what most brands now run as paid social.
Most UGC agencies post your brief to an open marketplace and wait to see who applies. We cast from a roster we manage ourselves: UGC creators in the UK with student, education and lifestyle audiences, whose work we already know. You get UGC ads that look native to the feed, made by people who have worked to brand guidelines before.

Questions brands ask a UGC agency
What does a UGC agency do?
A UGC agency finds creators, briefs them, manages filming and delivers finished video your brand can publish or run as ads. The creator does not need to post it on their own channel. TapLab does this with creators from its own managed roster.
How is UGC different from an influencer campaign?
With UGC you are paying for the content. With an influencer campaign you are paying for the content and the creator’s audience. Many brands do both: an influencer campaign for reach, then the best-performing videos reused as paid ads.
Who owns the content?
Usage terms are agreed with each creator before filming and set out in writing: where the content can run, for how long, and whether it can be used in paid ads. You will know exactly what you are licensed to do with every file.
Can we run the videos as Spark Ads or through a creator’s handle?
Yes, where the creator agrees. Whitelisting and Spark Ads permissions are part of the casting conversation, so you know before filming which creators are open to it.
Can we hire UGC creators in the UK through TapLab?
Yes. Every creator we put forward is UK based and managed by us, so you hire through one agreement with TapLab instead of contracting each UGC creator yourself. You still choose who films: the shortlist is yours to approve.
How do you choose the creators?
We start from the audience you want to reach and shortlist people from our roster whose existing content fits. You see their previous work and approve the shortlist. Every creator on it is someone we manage directly.
Which brands have you made UGC for?
Published examples include TurboLearn, Student Beans, School Hack, BBC Bitesize and Chicago Town. Each case study shows the brief, what was made and the results.
